Sunday we went to the zoo to meet Evan. Thought it would be nice now that the Oscars are over. ( BTW, check out the trailer. ) It was 75 degrees and everyone had the exact same idea. We drove around the zoo for an hour trying to find a spot and finally had to go home not having seen any giant salamanders.
Daddy said "lets go camping". Mommy forgot that Monday was Casimir Pulaski Day since she teaches in Missouri. We made a quick grocery trip (all the essentials- hotdogs, marshmallows, Cheetos, dip, strawberry milk) and went home to throw everything together.
I remembered to bring my friends, Grover, the polar bear, and warthog.
We set up the tent and got our fire going.
Here I am demonstrating the most dangerous way to eat a hotdog.
I warmed up my strawberry milk in the camping cup. Just the thing to dip my Cheetos in. The camping cup made it especially easy for Grover to drink my milk.
Playing in the tent is the best part about camping.
The best part was getting into the sleeping bag I got for Christmas from Papa Mike.
The next day it was below freezing after raining all night long so we warmed up the car and packed up for home.

Willa, you sure have two very lucky parents (and three very lucky grandparents).
I love you, Pa Pa Mike
