Kids Day at Cahokia Mounds

My Daddy, Mommy, and I went to Kids Day at Cahokia Mounds today. We started off in the interpretative center, which I really liked a lot. Then, we headed outside to touch animal skins, pinch clay pots, grind corn, and get my face painted. Afterward, we hiked along the mound trail, eventually making our way up to Monk's Mound (150 stairs!). When we were done, we walked back, watched Indian dancers, and ate kettle corn. It was lot of fun!

Are you mad? It looks like you are wearing your war paint.

I'm sorry I'm so late with my comment but I just now have the chance to review your blog. You look just like the Indians did! I wish I could go to reservations that are still active today and listen to the Indians and hope they can give me some facts about their culture that was active years ago. I can't believe you climbed so many steps! I like your face paint! Love you, Willa! Gramma Debbie
